About
Welcome to the enchanting world of Chez Maguy, a truly delightful seafood haven nestled on Bahsa Street in the picturesque town of Batroun, Lebanon. This hidden gem is a favorite among locals and visitors alike for its breathtaking views and delectable dishes. Picture yourself dining on a charming outdoor terrace, where you can enjoy both the serene atmosphere and the historical significance of the nearby Phoenician wall.
What sets Chez Maguy apart is its commitment to quality and authenticity. Many patrons rave about the grilled calamari, which has earned high praise as the best in town. Adriana V., one of the diners, described her experience as unforgettable, highlighting the spectacular views and the friendly service provided by Steve, the owner. It’s the kind of place where you can dine solo and still feel embraced by a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The menu showcases a range of seafood, each dish crafted with care and expertise. Reviews from families, like that of Youssef Yaacoub, emphasize not only the fresh offerings but also the friendly service that enhances the dining experience. It’s the perfect spot for memories, where both the food and the view come together to create magical moments.
However, all is not perfect; some guests, like Nancy Gallou, have noted that while most dishes shine, certain options like raw fish might not meet expectations. Prices can be on the higher side, but given the quality and the stunning seaside location, many agree that it's a worthwhile splurge.

“ Hands down the best grilled calamari EVER!! This little hidden gem is amazing. I arrived solo and had the whole outdoor terrace to myself with spectacular views. Even a piece of the Phoenician wall. Steve, the owner/server, was friendly and kind. Didn’t realize there was a downstairs access to the water until I was leaving and didn’t have enough time to jump in but soaked my feet. I am telling all my friends about this place ”
“ I had dinner there with my family and we loved the food, the service was great and the stuff were friendly. If you’re looking for a traditional friendly old school sea food restaurant don’t hesitate to eat there. The view alone is worth visiting the place. ”
“ We really enjoyed the food in this resto! The view is beautiful and the service was very good. Very good grilled calamari and fish. The raw fish was my least favourite. A bit pricey! ”
